- Abstract
Spatial flexibility allows the store to host a multitude of activities. The display unit is re-thought to converted into a multitude of functions – as a partition, as a display, and as a seat. This results in flexibility to the store and simultaneously allows users and patrons to experience new spaces within the store – from a store, to a studio, to a cafe and to a preview ramp. This concept of ‘spatial flexibility’ makes economic (to the store) as well as experiential (to patrons) sense.
