- Abstract
Another disruptive use of discarded fabric material is covering wooden beams in fire-prone environments, particularly old houses, churches, warehouses and other fragile structures from centuries past. Covering rafters with Velcro or zippered pant legs can be a good way to prevent fires in older sites or historic homes.
