Ahmad Shadpayam Art Biography
I was born in Toopkhaneh area at Tehran in 1947.
At the age of seven, the first painting that drew my attention and had a big influence and wonder to me was a picture by my friend Abbas on a cigarette box.
My first painting, a landscape, was a big success, and I received offer to sell it. At that time, I had neither tutorial session nor knowledge of distinguishing difference of water and oil brushes; even I didn’t ever of diluting liquid.
Later on for a short period of time I participated in Decorative Art Works training course. Then I registered in the portrait class of Mr. Afsharifar for one term.
I had continued my studies on level 5 painting course at Tehran university instructed by Mr. rezvanian. Also I had passed the History Of Art course by Mr. Rohbakhshian at Tehran university.
My first solo painting exhibition was held at Asaar Gallery in 2012, that resulted excellent experiences for me. Later after visiting Master Mohsen Vaziri sand works, I had started to trial and error on dyes and different materials. The result was another solo exhibition in modern Art at Nation Community Center, Tehran in 2013. At that exhibition I introduced a new style of painting consisting of mixture of inks and M 5 liquid on Aluminum foils.
In 2015 I was invited to self-portrait exhibition of Ivory Coast Island Embassy in Tehran. In 2016 a digital art solo exhibition named “Gold from Dust “was held at Ehsan Gallery. The concept of “Gold from Dust “is men’s joys out of simple matters of daily life such as: having a cup of coffee/tea or picnic in the park.
Airport art design is my new involvement, which is just started.
