Everything about myself
Enel is a multinational power company and a leading integrated player in the world’s power and gas markets, with a particular focus on Europe and Latin America. Enel Group operates in over 30 countries across 4 continents, producing energy through a net installed capacity of nearly 90 GW and distributes electricity and gas through a network of approximately 1.9 million kilometers. With over 61 million users worldwide, Enel has the largest customer base among European competitors and figures among Europe’s leading power companies in terms of installed capacity and reported EBITDA. Amost 68,000 people work for Enel.
Today, Enel’s strategy is focused on riding the change of the global energy paradigm. More people have more access to more powerful technologies than ever before. As people's lives become more connected, energy must equip individuals to do more. That's why Enel adopted a new corporate philosophy - Open Power – and is committed to opening power to more people, technologies, uses and partners.
As a truly global business, Enel is perfectly placed to open power around the world. Our global reach extends from Europe, to North America, Latin America, Africa and Asia. By combining our unique scale and reach with new opportunities in a more connected world, we are shaping the future of energy.
Growing access to renewable power is a cornerstone of our growth strategy. We generate just under half of our power from completely carbon-neutral sources, preventing 70 million tons of CO2 emissions. In 2016 our renewable energy business, Enel Green Power, is fully integrated within the Enel Group so we can innovate in renewables at scale and with greater speed.
Enel was the first utility in the world to roll out smart meter technology, digitizing the grid and enabling accurate pricing, reliable supply and detailed data collection in the process. Today we manage the most digitized grids in the world in Italy and Iberia. We are also leading the charge to digitize grids in emerging markets, facilitating the spread of smart meters, smarter data and smart cities around the world.
Enel is committed to becoming a carbon-neutral company by 2050. We work closely with the UN Global Compact, Clinton Global Initiative and other organizations and projects devoted to achieving this goal. We generate just under half of our power from completely carbon-neutral sources, preventing 70 million tons of CO2 emissions.
New corporate identity
We launched our new global corporate identity on 26th January 2016 and simultaneously unveiled the new logos for Enel Green Power and Endesa.
The new brand strategy is the incarnation of the “Open Power” approach, with “openness” as the keystone of the group’s strategic and operational approach.
The new brand represents Enel’s identity: a modern, open, flexible and responsive utility company, ready to lead the energy transition. The attractive and colorful logo is inspired by the principles of “Open Power” and reflects the diversity of the energy spectrum, the multifaceted nature of a group present in more than 30 countries, and the increasingly broad range of services it offers.
