Sartoria Casa di Prclusion Procida is a fashion and accessories brand inspired by the island of Procida.
Our project was born from the initiative to recover the authentic label of the Tailor's shop that made the uniforms for the prisoners of the Institute.
The Bourbon prison, formerly Palazzo D'Avalos, was decommissioned in 1988. Inside there was a sector dedicated to processing including linen cloths, carpentry and bookbinding.
Inmates learned arts and crafts during their confinement in order to engage in work activities.
The products made inside the prison were sold in a sort of market for the Procidana community.
The creations of Sartoria Casa di Conclusion Procida draw inspiration from ancient traditions, revisiting and enhancing them. The collections tell the island's culture but are made with respect for the modernity of the times and man.
The island of Procida, Italian Capital of Culture 2022, is "a place of exploration, experimentation and knowledge, a model of contemporary cultures; it is the elsewhere par excellence, it is a kingdom of doubles: openness / closure, freedom / confinement, bond / distance ".
It is from our culture that the desire to recover man's noble creative ability to transform seclusion into creation is born, because tradition and passion excite and excite us. - Sector
