Carolina Cigala was born in Naples in 1966.
She has flanked her professional work as an architect with teaching and university research.
She has written about art, architecture and literature for magazines and newspapers.
In 2009 she wrote and illustrated Leggende di mare e di fuoco for Voyage Pittoresque.
In 2015 Respiri for Tullio Pironti was her first collection of poems (finalist at the City of Palermo’s VIII Arenella Poetry Prize).
In 2017 Emersioni, for Spazio Culturale edizioni, was her second anthology of poetic compositions (special mention at Mignosi Prize 2018).
